Old Recipe Book started out by being a collection of my own recipes from my recipe file. When I went searching the thrift stores for some old recipe books, I found that other people may be interested on these old time favorites too.
So now I have all my favorite recipes in one spot, and I encourage my kids to take advantage of the recipes, since we all seem to be living in different states. As far as ads on the website, they are there for your convenience in case what you are looking for is not on my website. The following paragraphs discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for this Web site.
Log/Stat Files
Like most standard Website servers I use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Visitor IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information. I use log files to see if I can improve or add recipes of what people are looking for.
Cookies
I find it interesting that they use the word "cookies" as an internet word. According to them, a cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user. This site does use cookies. Some of the advertisers use cookies too). However, I have no access to or control over their cookies, once I have given permission for them to set cookies for advertising.
Advertisers
I use outside ad companies to display ads on this site. These ads may contain cookies and are collected by the ad companies, and I do not have access to this information. I work with the ad companies: Google Adsense, and sometimes eBay. Please check their websites for respective privacy policies.
