Easy Casserole Recipes
for Ground Beef or Turkey

You are here:
Old Recipe Book >> Dinner Recipes >> Easy Casseroles

As you know most casseroles call for some sort of "can of soup," usually a cream soup. These were very popular during the 1970's and the cream soups were a bit cheaper to buy.

Here's an easy macaroni and cheese that even teens can make, along with some old casserole dishes from the 1970's. I'm so glad to get these out of my recipe file.

Easy Macaroni and Cheese

2 cups dry macaroni
4 slices American Cheese
a little milk
a little butter
salt and pepper to taste

Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and rinse. Leave the hot macaroni in the pot and put it back on the stove on low heat. Tear sliced American cheese into pot and stir until melted. Add a little milk if thin macaroni and cheese is desired. Add more slices of American cheese if you like it real cheesy.
Recipe from my own recipe file
