Apple Crisp and Fruit Pizza

Apple Pizza is a different way of making an apple pie, but you make it on a pizza pan. Also see fresh apple pie, applesauce recipes, and Apple Crisp made with cake mix.
Apple Pizza
Make
a pie crust for a 2 crust pie,
then put below
in a covered bowl and shake well:
6 or 7 tart apples
1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
CRUMBLE TOPPING:
3/4 cup
flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firm butter
Mix till crumbly
Prepare pastry as directed but roll 1 inch larger than a medium size pizza pan. Ease the crust into the pan and flute the edges. Pare and cut apples in eighths. Beginning at edge of crust and overlapping apples - cover crust with apples. Sprinkle the cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg mixture. Then top with the crumble topping. Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 450 until edges are browned and apples are tender and bubbly. Check at 30 minutes.
Pie crust: 2 cups flour, 1 tsp salt, 3/4 cup crisco.
Mix till crumbly, add water, starting with 2 tblspoons. Mix to form a ball, roll
out on floured surface or floured wax paper

Fruit Pizza
CRUST:
1/2 c. oleo
3/4 c. sugar
1
egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/8 tsp. salt
CREAM
CHEESE MIX:
8oz. cream cheese
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. fruit juice
GLAZE:
1
1/2 c. fruit juice
2 tbsp. cornstarch
CRUST: Cream together oleo
and sugar, add egg, flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt. Pat into oiled 9x13
pan. Bake at 350 for 12-14 minutes. Do Not Overbake.
CREAM CHEESE MIX: Blend
together cream cheese, sugar and fruit juice and spread on crust, then add fruit
of any kind.
GLAZE: Cook fruit juice and corn starch till thick, and cool.
Then pour over fruit on pizza. Make sure all fruit is covered.

Fruit Pizza
CRUST:
1/2 c.
margarine
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp.
cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
ICING:
1-8oz pkg. cream cheese softened
1/2
c. sugar
1 to 2 T. pineapple juice
GLAZE:
1 c. fruit juice
1
T. cornstarch
CRUST: Combine margarine, sugar and egg. Mix well. Sift
together and add flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt. Pat into an oiled pizza
pan. Bake in 400 oven for 12 minutes or until brown. Cool
ICING: Combine cream
cheese, sugar and pineapple juice. Beat well and spread on the cooled crust. Arrange
fruit slices on top of the icing. Can use pineapple rings (or tidbits), mandarin
oranges, banana slices dipped in pineapple juice, kiwi slices, strawberries, etc.
GLAZE:
Cook until syrupy the fruit juice and cornstarch. Cool slightly and pour over
fruit. Refrigerate.

Apple Crisp and Topping
2/3 to 3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
3/ 4 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 cup soft
butter
Sliced tart apples
Spray the inside of a 2 quart casserole
with nonstick veg spray. Combine the apple slices, half the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg
in the dish and stir gently to mix well. Combine the flour, oats, butter and
rest of sugar in a bowl and blend till crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over apples.

Apple Crisp
This recipe is easily doubled

1/2 lbs tart apples peeled and sliced
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp lemon juice
3/4 cup flour
6 Tblsp butter
Spray the inside of a 2 quart casserole with nonstick veg spray. Combine the apple slices, 6 Tblsp of the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and lemon juice in the dish and stir gently to mix well. Combine the flour, rest of sugar in a bowl and blend till crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over apples. 375 for 35 minutes.
Apple Crisp
Peel
and dice 4 cups apples. Cream together 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup brown sugar. Add
and make the crumble from 3/4 cup flour, 1 tsp. cinnamon, and pinch of salt.
Put
layer of apples, layer of crumble; into baking dish. After dish has been filled
pour over: 1/2 cup water.
Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees.

Apple Crisp
3 c. (plus) sliced apples
1
T. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinamon
3/4 c. oatmeal
3/4 c. flour
1/4
tsp. soda
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. butter (or margarine), melted
1/2
tsp. salt
Mix and spread first 4 ingredients in a baking dish. The rest
of the ingredients, mix together and layer over apples. Bake at 350 for 30 to
40 minutes.

Easy Apple Crisp
4 c. sliced apples
2/3 to 3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c.
flour
1/2 c. rolled oats
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c.
soft butter
Preheat oven to 375. Place sliced apples in greased pan.
Blend remaining ingredients until mixture is crumbly. Spread over apples. Bake
30 to 35 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve
warm with ice cream.

Apple Dumplings
Syrup:
2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 cups water
1/4
tsp. nutmeg
1/4 cup butter
Stir together. Heat on stove until butter
melts.
Crust:
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4
cups shortening
1/2 cup milk
Mix. Roll out to make 8 dumplings and place apples on each piece. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll together, put into pan, pour syrup over them and bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes or longer, if desired.
Apple Fritters
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1 Tblsp sugar
2 eggs - yolks and whites separated
1/4
cup milk
Sift together the dry ingredients add egg yolks and milk,
mix till smooth.
Add 1 1/2 cups chopped apples and the 2 beaten egg whites.
Drop batter by spoonfuls into hot cooking oil and fry till golden brown on
one side, turn to brown the other. Serve hot with syrup, roll in powdered sugar
or make the doughnut glaze. Makes 12 large fritters
