Easy Homemade Pizza Recipe

You are here:
Old Recipe Book >> Party Snacks >> Pizza and Sauce

Cheese Pizza Yum YumMake your Pizza Sauce first or have a can of sauce handy, then make the pizza crust. Make sure you grate some cheese too.

Pizza sauce is easy to make and sometimes I just use spagetti sauce and after spread it on the crust, sprinkle extra garlic and oregano.

This recipe makes enough for 2 pizzas. Don't have any yeast? Try Pizza Crust #2 There is also a recipe that is more of a dessert, but it is still called a pizza. You may want to try Apple Pizza some day because it is so delicious. Also check out Pizza Bites, made with refrigerator biscuits

Pizza Crust

1 package active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1 teapoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons oil
2 1/2 cups flour

Dissolve the yeast in warm water Mix in rest of ingredients in order given. Let sit in a covered bowl for 5 min. Grease 2 pizza pans (don't use oil)
Divided dough in half. Plop half the dough in center of each pan and spread to edges with your hands. If the dough is too sticky add a little flour. You can also butter your fingers Spread your Pizza Sauce on, Add your choice of vegetables and cheese

If you want a thin crust, cook it now If you want a thick crust, cover the pizza with Saran wrap and let rise on top of the stove for an hour. Cook at 400 till done about 15 min.

Pizza Crust #2 - No Yeast Recipe

2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup. oil

Mix altogether. Spread thin on cookie sheet

Bisquick Pizza Crust

Easy Pizza Recipe1 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/3 cup very hot water
1 tsp vegatable oil

Heat oven to 450. Mix the bisquick and water about 20 times. Turn onto a surface well dusted with bisquick mix and roll to coat it. Knead the dough till smooth and no longer sticky, about 60 times. Roll into a 12 inch circle and place on a greased 12 inch cookie sheet, brush the top with oil.

Put your desired ingredients on top. Bake on lowest oven rack till crust is brown, 12 to 15 minutes.

Pizza Dough

1 Tbsp. yeast
1 c. warm water
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. salad oil
3 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water, then add sugar, salt, oil, and flour, and knead till it is smooth. Let rise until double in bulk, then roll out on two pizza pans and top with your favorite toppings

Pizza Sauce Recipe

1 cup tomato sauce
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon oregano
Dash of black pepper

Tip: You don't have to mix all these ingredients together and then spread on the crust if you don't want to. What I do is just put on the tomato sauce then sprinkle a little of each spice on top. Then add you meat or vegatables, then cheese. Once I sprinkled a little oregano on top of the cheese and I was amazed at what a great flavor it gave to the cheese.

I have also used grated Monteray Jack cheese instead of the Mozzarella. It melts the same and has more flavor. In fact I have even made pizza using American cheese. Hey this is America, make any kind of pizza you want. They even have breakfast pizza now.

Pizza Sauce #2

1 can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper

Pizza Loaf

1 pkg hamburger, approx. 2 lbs.
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. chopped onion
2 c. pizza sauce
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Mozzarella cheese

Mix everything together and put in a 9x13 inch pan. Bake 1 hour at 350

Little Pizzas

6 English Muffins, split
1 small can tomato paste
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, diced
4 oz. Mozzarella cheese, grated
1/2 lb. sausage
oregano

Mix together tomato paste, sugar, salt, Eorcestershire sauce and garlic. Spread thinly on muffins. Sprinkle cheese over tomato mixture. Top with sausage. Sprinkle with oregano. Bake at 450 about 15 minutes.

Mashed Potato Pizza

Mashed Potato Pizza2 cups instant mashed potato flakes
1 (8 oz package shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1 (3 oz jar real bacon bits
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 (10oz can pizza crust dough
1/2 cup sour cream

Preheat the oven to 425. Prepare instant mashed potatoes according to package directions. Stir in half of the Cheddar cheese, bacon bits, and green onions.

Cut the pizza crust dough in half, and spread into the bottom of two 8-inch round pans. Bake for 4 minutes in the preheated oven, until about halfway done. Spoon the potato mixture over each crust. Sprinkle remaining Cheddar cheese over the top.

Bake for an additional 5 minutes in the preheated oven, until crust is golden, and cheese is melted. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Top with sour cream to taste.
